2021 marks the hosting of the 3rd annual RotaryCUP. Due to ongoing health issues surrounding the Covid 19 pandemic we have chosen to move the event to the 3rd weekend in July. It is our hope, that this rescheduling will have provided ample time for the province to have moved into stage 2 of the “Open for Summer” plan.

The 3rd hosting of the Day Long event celebrating the long summer days in Wood Buffalo aims to provide much-needed funding for the many organizations and programs supported by the Rotary Club of Fort McMurray. The tournament format pays homage to the historic RyderCUP format with the only difference is that we get it done in one day. The field is divided into “The Veterans” and “The Rookies” based on the age of registered players. Since its inception, the average cut-off age has been 43 years old. That is, if you are older than 43 you would be placed on the veteran’s teams and if you were younger you would have been placed on the rookie’s team.

In 2021 the Veterans look to mark a historic “three-peat” and gain dynasty status as the Rookies look to secure their first victory and upset the favored Veterans.
